2 cups milk
3 tablespoon(s) shortening
1/2 cup sugar, light brown or granulated
1 pkg yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk, add shortening and sugar, stsir well, cool: when lukewarm add yeast dissolved in water and beaten eggs.
Sift dry together and add to liquid ingredients.
Stir well; more flour may be kneaded.
Turn dough into greased large mixing bowl; let rise over night.
Roll out onto floured board and cut; fry in 350-375 degree oil for 2 minutes until golden.
Drain on paper towel. Sift 10X sugar over.

Note: use 1/2 the recipe in a bread maker
