5 pounds green tomatoes
2-1/2 pounds peeled yellow onions
6 peeled cucumbers
1/2 c pickling salt (no iodine)

Brine

3-1/2c vinegar
1/2 box pickling spices
1/2 box whole mustard seeds
2-1/2 cups sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Slice thinly the tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers. Place in a large bowl.
Sprinkle the salt over the vegetables and let sit over night. Drain well and rinse very well.

Add vegetables to a large pot with vinegar and mustard seeds. Place pickling spices in a bag or cheese cloth.

Cook until vegetables are soft. Remove spice bag, and add sugar. Cook until sugar is dissolved.

Bottle in sterilized canning jars.
