1 cup white sugar

1 cup powdered sugar

2 sticks of butter

2 eggs

1 cup of oil your choice vegetable, canola

4 cups of flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter and sugars and oil well. Add vanilla and flour and baking soda and salt. Chill for an hour. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place on cookie sheet. Use a glass with a flat bottom, get the glass wet on the bottom but wipe off excess water. Put colored sugar in a bowl and dip the glass in and then gently flatten the cookies. Make sure to dip the glass in the sugar for each cookie. Bake at 350 for 8-9 minutes

This is a very old family recipe and was one of the Christmas cookies I grew up making every year with my siblings and my mom.
