2- cups of flour

1 – cup brown sugar

½ cup softened butter

Filling
1 cup butter

¾ cup brown sugar

1 cup chocolate chips

1 ¼ cups whole pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, 1 cup brown sugar, and ½ cup softened butter, it will resemble coarse crumbs. Pat in the bottom of 13x9 pan for crust. Place pecans evenly over crust. In a saucepan heat ¾ cup brown sugar with 1 cup of butter stirring constantly until it comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute then pour over pecan crust. Bake at 325 for 20 min, I have found it to be about 25 minutes. A glass pan is best for these bars. Right when you take the bars out put chocolate chips on the top and wait a minute for them to melt then frost the bars with them.

Personal Notes:
Grandma Judi used to make these all of the time and they are amazing. I have never been able to get mine to bake as perfectly as hers did. I'm sure all of you will perfect this great recipe
