1 cup sugar
½ cup softened butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
¼ teaspoon salt
1½ teaspoons baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Blend sugar and butter until creamy. Beat in egg. Add vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients and add to mixture.

Divided dough in half. Cover and chill one hour. Roll and cut into shapes. Baked on ungreased cookie sheets at 375º for about 8-10 minutes until edges begin to brown.

Yields 4 dozen thin cookies.
