Granny L's Banana Pudding Recipe

¾ cup sugar
1 cup Kroger brand sweetened condensed milk
1 cup milk (2%)
2 tbsp cornstarch
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
Dash salt
3-4 ripe bananas
½ box Nilla brand vanilla wafers

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a medium sauce pan, combine sugar, eggs and mix well
2. Add cornstarch, salt and mix well
3. Add milk, Eagle brand and mix well
4. Bring to a boil over MED-HIGH heat, stirring constantly and allow to thicken to desired consistency
5. Remove from heat, add vanilla extract, stir well, then allow to cool while slicing bananas (to avoid “cooking” of bananas)
6. Add bananas to cooled pudding and stir well
7. Add wafers and stir well, careful to not break wafers
8.Top with remaining wafers and cover until served. Can be served warm or chilled
