1 Cup Cranberries, coarsely chopped
1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts
1 Tablespoon grated orange peel
2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 Cup Sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 Tablespoon shortening
3/4 Cup orange juice
1 Egg, well beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 325º
Generously grease and lightly flour 9x5x3 loaf pan
Prepare cranberries, nuts & orange peel, set aside
In a bowl mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
Cut in shortening.
Stir in orange juice, beaten egg and orange peel mix until moisten, fold in chopped cranberries and nuts.
Bake for 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool on rack for 15 minutes
