1 1/4 cups butter softened
1 3/4 to 2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsps. Vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp. Baking soda
Dash of salt
1 Cup chopped nuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl. Add eggs and vanilla; blend well. Combine flour, cocoa, soda and salt; gradually blend into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts, if desired. Drop by spoonfuls onto increased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º. for 8-9 minutes. Do not over bake. Cookies will be soft. Cool on sheets until set, about 1 minute. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Store in airtight container.
