4 cups of whole milk (can use 2%)

1 cup of sugar

1/2 cup flour

4-5 tbsp. cocoa

1 tsp vanilla

1 tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot mix together dry ingredients mixing well.

Using a whisk, on medium heat slowly add the milk 1 cup at a time. Stirring constantly. Mix well, make sure there are no lumps.

Stir constantly until mixture starts to thicken. It will be about the consistency of gravy and will thicken more when it chills. This takes about 20 minutes.

DO NOT walk away it will burn.

Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter. Let cool for a few minutes and refrigerate.

Top with whipped cream and enjoy.

This was my Gram's recipe and I believe her mother made this also. Gram would make this for every Holiday and I started making it when she got older and couldn't do it anymore.
