Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 egg yolks (uncooked..they will NOT be cooked for this recipe)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups of rum
2 cups of sugar
1 1/2 cups of water
vanilla to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar and water in a sauce pan and heat, just to a simmer. This will dissolve all the sugar and make a simple syrup. Set aside to cool while you make the rest.

Make sure all 6 egg yolks are free from any white, stringy parts. You can remove it with a spoon or put them threw a sieve. ( I just remove it all with a spoon) And, it's fine if the yolks break.

Combine the yolks, sweetened condensed milk and rum into a mixer and mix until fully combined. Add in the simple syrup and mix again until fully combined. (simple syrup does not have to be cold..warm is fine. It can't be hot because it can scramble the eggs. Refrigerate well until serving.

A thin layer of the egg yolk will appear on the top after it's been refrigerated for awhile. Just remove that before serving!
