Personal Notes:
This meatloaf was a family favorite starting back in the 1960's. Most families would have meatloaf once a week back then and Auntie Laura and I were no exception, we loved meatloaf night and our mom made it the best! So this is Grandma Susan's recipe. I made this meatloaf occasionally when we lived in Kingston and Hansville, but not once a week. Rebekah has had the pleasure of having this meatloaf on many occasions while living in Texas. Worcestershire sauce is the star of flavor in the topping, especially if you let the topping crisp up a bit at the end of baking by using the broiler setting for a minute or two. Yum! Serve this with a green vegetable like broccoli or French cut, frozen green beans and some style of potato and you've got a typical 1950's - 1960's meal.
