1 cup sugar
½ cup shortening
1 egg
½ cup milk with 1 tsp baking soda dissolved
3½ cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla

Filling:
½ lb raisins
½ cup water
½ cup sugar
1 tsp flour
1 tsp lemon juice

Cook filling ingredients.
When cook, add 1 tsp lemon juice.
Place between cookie dough.
Crimp edges and bake.
