½ cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2½ cups flour
1 cup sour milk
1 tsp baking soda
½ cup chopped nuts
½ lb raisins chopped
1 large tsp allspice
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp cloves
Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve baking soda into sour milk. Cream shortening, brown sugar, and eggs together. Add flour and spices with milk. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop by spoonsful on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350º for 10-15 minutes.
