½ cup rice
2 cups evaporated milk (half for making rice, half for adding later)
2 cups water (half for making rice, half for adding later)
3 eggs
¾ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup raisins
nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Cook ½ cup rice in double broiler with 1 cup of evaporated milk and 1 cup of water until most of the liquid is gone.

Beat 3 eggs. Add sugar, vanilla, salt and a cup of evaporated milk and a cup of water. Add hot rice and raisins. Mix well.

Put in greased casserole and sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

(You can use regular milk instead of evaporated milk. I use evaporated milk to make a richer pudding. Use 1 cup of evaporated milk to 1 cup of water.)
