⅔ cup shortening
1½ cups brown sugar
1 Tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1½ cups flour
⅓ cup cocoa
¼ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 cups chocolate chips

Beat shortening brown sugar water and vanilla. Beat in eggs. Stir in dry ingredients just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by spoonfuls and bake at 375º for 6-8 minutes.
