8 oz. Bakers German sweet chocolate,
Can mix chocolate chips with sweet chocolate
Can use dark unsweetened chocolate with sweet chocolate or chocolate chips
⅓- ½ cake parrafin wax
2 pound bag of confectionary sugar
1-1½ sticks softened butter
¼ heavy cream
Peanut butter
marchiano cherries
maple syrup
walnuts
peppermint extract
rhasberry extract
orange extract
almond extract
coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Shave chocolate and wax together in top of a double boiler.
Put water in bottom pan just to top of pan.
Heat on low heat to melt chocolate and wax.
Do not let water boil or steam. It will dull the chocolate.

Mix 2 lbs. confectionary sugar and butter with hands until mealy. Add cream and continue to mix with hands until soft ball of dough.

Seperate into small balls to add different flavorings.
Add ¼ tsp. of perferred flavorings to individual balls and mix in well.
Form chocolate size balls and place on waxed paper covered cookie sheets.
Suggestions for chocolates
Peanut butter cups- Add peanut butter to the dough and form into peanut butter cups
maple walnut - Add maple syrup to dough and mix in some chopped walnuts and form into balls.
almond joys- Add coconut to the dough and wrap an almond with the dough.
cherry chocolates- wrap a cherry in the dough that has a little cherry juice mixed into it.
peppermint patties- peppermint extract added to the dough and formed into a patty.
Once you have filled a cookie sheet, place it in the refrigerator to harden while you fill another cookie tray.
Dip and roll in the chocolate sauce with a toothpick or use a fork. Let the chocolate drip off and place back on the cookie sheet. Refrigerate

I got this recipe in Home Economics as a Freshman in highschool. It's been fun making these at Christmas time with numberous family and friends. It's a wonderful tradition!
