½ c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1¾ c. flour
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking soda
½ c. cocoa powder
¼ c. milk
18 large marshmallows, cut in half, horizontally

Frosting:
⅓ c. butter, melted
1½ oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1½ c. confectionary sugar

Directions:

Heat oven to 350º
Grease a cookie sheet

Cream butter and sugar until blended.
Add egg and vanilla and beat until creamy.
Combine dry ingredients in a mediium bowl.
Slowly add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 minutes.
Remove from oven, place half marshmallow, cut side down on each cookie.
Return to oven, bake 2 minutes more.
Cool
Frosting:
Combine butter, chocolate and vanilla.
Add confectionary sugar gradually, beating until smooth and spreading consistency.
Frost over marshmallows.
