2 cups sifted all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup milk
1 package (6 oz) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º F.
Sift first 4 ingredients into a bowl. Cream butter or margarine. Gradually add sugar while beating. Blend in egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
