2 sticks butter, softened
1¼ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup dark brown sugar
1 oz unsweetened baking chocolate, melted
3 large eggs - room temperature
2½ cups all purpose flour
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1¼ tsp baking powder
1¼ tsp salt
1 Tbsp vanilla
1½ cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a stand mixture with the beater blade attachment, beat the butter, both sugars, and melted chocolate until smooth. Add the eggs and mix until fully combined. Stir together the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Then add this slowly to the batter until mixed. Add the vanilla and fold in the chocolate chips. Drop by generous spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet; about 2 inches apart. Bake for 15 minutes. Transfer to wire rack to cool.
