1 cup shortening
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup firmly backed brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2¼ cups sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1½ cups plain M&Ms
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Blend shortening and sugars in a large bowl. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add to mixture; blending well. Stir in ½ of the M&Ms. Drop by tsp on ungreased baking sheet. Decorate tops with remaining M&Ms. Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown. Some cracking should occur.
