½ C BUTTER SOFTENED
3 OZ CREAM CHEESE
2 TSP GRATED ORANGE PEEL
1 C SHREDDED CARROTS
2 C FLOUR
½TSP BAKING SODA
½ TSP CINNAMON
¼ TSP NUTMEG
¼ TSP SALT

FROSTING :

1¾ C POWDER SUGAR
¼ C BUTTER
1 TSP GRATED ORANGE PEEL
2-3 TB ORANGE JUICE

HEAT OVEN 350º

LIGHTLY GREASE COOKIE SHEET
IN A LG BOWL, BEAT SUGAR 1/2 C BUTTER AND CREAM CHEESE UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY.
ADD EGG AND ORANGE PEEL. BLEND WELL . ADD CARROTS.
LIGHTLY SPOON FLOUR INTO MEASURING CUP- LEVEL OFF. STIR IN FLOUR SODA, CINNAMON, NUTMEG, AND SALT.
MIX WELL. DROP BY ROUNDED SPOON- 2 INCHES APART

COOK 10-12 MINUTES
UNTIL EDGES ARE GOLDEN BROWN

FROSTING:
IN A SMALL BOWL BLEND ALL INGREDIENTS AND ENOUGH OJ FOR CONSISTENCY . FROST ALL COOKIES WHEN COOLED.
