2/3 to 1 c. sugar
1 T cornstarch
1 c. water
4 c. fruit
1 c. flour
1 T sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 T shortening
1/2 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º.
Mix sugar, cornstarch and water and bring to boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Add fruit and juices. Pour into 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Mix remaining ingredients (except milk) until mixture looks like meal. Stir in milk. Drop by spoonfuls onto hot fruit. Bake 25-30 minutes. Serve warm, with ice cream-of course!
