4 cups sifted Flour
4 teaspoons Baking Soda
2 teaspoons Ginger
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Salt
1 1/2 cups Crisco
1 3/4 cups Sugar
2 Eggs
1/2 cup Molasses
1/4 cup Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Sift dry ingredients. Set aside. In another large bowl, beat shortening, eggs and molasses. Work flour mixture into shortening mixture. Mix until soft dough forms. Chill. Pinch off Tablespoon size pieces of dough and roll into balls. Roll these into a small bowl containing the 1/4 cup of Sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet a couple of inches apart for 10 minutes.
