2½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
½ cup butter
½ cup shortening
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1½ tsp vanilla
Semi-sweet chocolate chips (as much as 2 cups)
Directions:
Directions:
Stir together flour, soda, and salt.

In a mixer bowl beat butter and shortening on medium speed of electric mixer for 30 seconds or so.

Add sugars and beat until fluffy.

Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.

Add in dry ingredients to beaten mixture, beating until well combined. Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop by teaspoonful about 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet

Bake at 375º for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool before storing.
