Directions:
Brown meat and onion. Drain off any fat. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to meat mixture. Mix in cooked potatoes and about 2 teaspoons of potato water to meat.

Line a pie plate with 1 pie shell. Pour in the meat/potato mixture and top with second pie shell. Crimp the edges and poke holes in the top. I put an "A" for Allred.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
When I was little my Mom, Great Grandma Granger, made this for Thanksgiving morning and we ate it while watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade on a black and white TV. We were rarely allowed to eat in the living room, but that morning we could. What a treat!!
I know some don't like this but your Dad and I love this meat pie.
I serve it with homemade cranberries. Just follow the directions on the bag of cranberries.
