1 c. sugar

4 c. sifted flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar well. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually blend in flour, baking

powder and salt, which have been sifted together. Chill dough at least 3 hours or

overnight. Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface with a stockinett-covered rolling

pin to 1/8-1/4" thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters and place on an

ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. This dough may be

used in a cookie press but do not chill the dough. Yield: 6 dozen depending on the size

of the cookies..If you want to ice them, I just use Betty Crocker creamy vanilla icing.
