1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
½ cup sour cream
1 egg
4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350º
2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
3. Stir in the egg and sour cream.
4. Then, stir in the baking soda and salt.
5. Gradually add the flour until dough becomes too difficult to stir.
6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead in flour until dough is no longer sticky.
7. Roll the dough out to ½" thickness
8. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters.
9. Place cookies 1½" apart on unprepared cookie sheets.
10. Bake for 6-8 minutes
11. Cookies should be lightly browned at the edges.
12. Remove from baking sheet to cool on wire racks.
