2/3 cup shortening (butter or margarine)
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups sugar
1 cup peanut butter
4 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup oatmeal

Icing
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon milk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine shortening, sugar, peanut butter, eggs and vanilla. Blend at low speed. In separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt. Add to first mixture. Add oatmeal, mix well. Spread onto ungreased cooking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. DO NOT OVERCOOK.

Icing: Mix together powdered sugar and milk. Spread on warm chews. Cut when warm, remove when cool.
