Carcass of chicken or turkey. Save some meat off the bird.
Water
S&P
Celery-1 stalk, chopped
1 onion-chopped
Potatoes (cut in cubes)
Carrots (cut in cubes)
Turnip(cut in cubes)
Sweet potato (cut in cubes)
1 pkg of Lipton Cup of Chicken Soup

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot, add broken up chicken or turkey carcass. Cover with water. Add S&P. Bring to a boil and then simmer for a few hours. You might have to add more water.
When ready, strain water into another pot. If there is meat on bird, save to add to soup.
Add chopped onion and celery. Bring back to boil.
Add potato, carrots and turnip . Boil til cooked. Add meat. Turn off stove and add sweet potato and Lipton Cup of Soup. Don’t boil this as noodles will go mushy.
Taste to see if you need more salt. I usually have to add more. Nanny usually added a blob of butter but I don’t.
