1 lb. asparagus
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 c. canned diluted chicken broth (can also use vegetable broth)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tbsp. toasted almonds or sesame seeds

Directions:
Directions:
Snap off tough ends of asparagus, cut in diagonal 1 inch pieces. Saute minced garlic in skillet with butter for one minute. Add asparagus, stirring well to combine. Add chicken broth, salt and sugar. Cook on high heat 3-4 minutes until asparagus is tender. Take out with slotted spoon and sprinkle with almonds or sesame seeds.
