1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Evaporated Milk
½ Cup + ⅓ Butter or Oleo (room temperature & divided)
1 tsp. vanilla
3 Egg Yolks - beaten
1½ Flaked Coconut
1½ Chopped Pecans
1 pkg. German Chocolate Cake Mix

Directions:

In heavy 2 qt. saucepan, combine sugar, milk, ½ Cup butter, vanilla and egg yolks; blend well. Cook over medium heat for 10-13 minutes or until thick & bubbly, stirring frequently. Stir in coconut & pecans. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Reserve 1¼ Cup topping mixture; set aside.

Preheat oven to 350º. Combine cake mix, remaining ⅓ Cup of butter and remaining topping mixture; stir by hand until completely moistened. Shape dough into 1" balls. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. With thumb, make dent in center of each ball. Fill each dent with mounded ½ tsp. of reserved topping. Bake for 10-13 minutes or until set. Cook 5 minutes on cookie sheet.
