3 cups flour, sifted
6 level tsp. baking powder
3 tsp. sugar
3 level tbsp. lard or shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt together. Rub in shortening until like a fine powder. Cut in enough milk to make a soft dough. Pat out gently on floured bake board. Cut with biscuit cutter. Place on cookie sheet and bake in hot oven at 450ºF for approximately 10 minutes until lightly browned.
