¾ cup shortening (I use butter Crisco)
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup molasses
1 egg
2 cups flour
½ tsp. ginger
2 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 360 or so

2. Melt shortening and let cool.

3. Mix shortening, brown sugar, molasses, and egg-beat well.

4. Add dry ingredients-mix and chill (about an hour).

5. Form 1 inch balls, roll in regular sugar, place on parchment lined sheet, and bake for about 8 minutes.
