Ingredients:  
2 cups oatmeal or rolled oats
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup melted butter
About 1 tbsp milk
2 cups pastry flour
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Add melted butter and enough milk to make stiff dough. Roll out thin. Cut with cookie cutter. Bake in a 375º F oven for 8-10 minutes. Put together with date filling.
Filling:
2 1/2 cups chopped dates
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup butter
Boil together about 5 minutes.
