1 c. soft butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 and 2/3 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and add to the creamed mixture. Cover and chill.

Form into balls. Roll in sugar and place 2" apart on cookie sheet. Sprinkle with 2 or 3 drops of water.

Bake 350º for 20 min.
