1 egg, beaten
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Combine egg, salt, milk. Add flour. (For thicker noodles add baking powder to flour before mixing.) Separate into two balls.

Step 2
Roll out dough, and let stand for 20 minutes.

Step 3
Cut into strips and spread to dry--dust with a little flour. Let dry for approximately 2 hours.

Step 4
Drop into hot soup--cook for about 10 minutes.

Grandma always said 1 egg for every cup of flour.


Noodle Rules

More isn't better when it comes to dough. get it mixed rolled cut. Too much handling makes your noodles tough.
Don't let anyone touch your nose or put their hand on your back. by the noodle table.


Some of the best stories and advice I heard was at the table while Grandma made noodles. She had so much to do but she was never in a hurry. She always had time to hear our problems and stories.
