1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 TBS milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1&1/2 cup rolled oats

optional:
1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Varieties:

*May add chocolate chips as desired

*May add butterscotch chips but also add 1 tsp cinnamon to batter

*May add white chocolate chips and dried cranberries

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter and sugars until fluffy
Add eggs, milk and vanilla and beat well
Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl
Add dry ingredients in portions until well combined
Stir in oats
Chill dough for 2 hrs if possible (may bake without chilling but cookies may be flatter)
Bake at 375 on parchment line cookie sheet
