⅔ c butter
1c sugar
1c brown sugar
2 eggs
2tsp vanilla
3 c flour
1tsp salt

Cream shortening butter and sugar mix in eggs vanilla. I didn’t dry ingredients. Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes

Grandma gave me this recipe. She said the trick to keeping them soft is to add half a cup extra flour.
