Reserve some of the unbaked dough, after the first rising

Directions:

Heat a pan with cooking oil or lard to 350º F degrees. The oil should be two inches in the pan(enough to fry). Shape dough into balls about 3 inches in diameter. Pull into patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Fry till brown on one side then flip and repeat. Serve warm with butter and jam/jelly.
