1 c. softened butter
1 3oz. pkg. cream cheese softened
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla
candied cherries or pecan halves optional

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and cream cheese, slowly add sugar. Beat until fluffy. Beat in egg yolk, add flour and vanilla. Mix well. Chill dough@ leat one hour. Shape dough into 1 in. balls and press on greased cookie sheet. Bake @ 350 12-15 minutes. Press in cherries or pecans when come out of oven optional.
