3c Flour
2t Baking Powder
1t Baking Soda
¼t Nutmeg
1c Shortening
1t Vanilla
2 Eggs
1c Sugar
4T Sweet Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and nutmeg. Cut in shortening, as for pie crust. Add vanilla.
Beat eggs then add sugar and milk. Beat thoroughly and mix with dry ingredients.
Roll out on floured board and cut in any shape. Bake at 400º until lightly brown. Frost if desired.


Makes excellent raisin filled cookies.
