1 cup soft butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
¼ cup boiling water
1¼ cups flour
½ tsp salt
2 cups quick oats
12 oz semisweet chocolate chips
Raisins to taste (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350.

2. Cream butter and sugar together. Dissolve baking soda in boiling water. Stir into butter/sugar mixture. Add vanilla, then dry ingredients and chips.

3. Bake for 10 minutes
