4½ cups Sugar
1 Large can Evaporated Milk
1/2 lb. butter - melted (2 sticks)
3 Tbsp. Vanilla
2 (12 oz.) bags Chocolate Chips
1½ cups nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar and milk together, bring to a boil - stirring constantly. Cook for 6 minutes, remove from heat. Beat with mixer until thick, add melted butter, chocolate chips, vanilla and nuts (if using) and continue mixing until chocolate chips are melted. Pour into buttered pan (or pan lined with parchment paper) and let set 6 hours before cutting. Keep in cool place.
