1 lb dates
½ c chopped walnuts
½ c chopped maraschino cherries
1 c sugar
1 t vanilla
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 c sifted flour
Directions:
Directions:
Chop dates, nuts & cherries
Add sugar and vanilla
Alternate eggs and flour
If mixture is dry, add a little cherry juice.
Drop by teaspoon on greased sheet pan. Top with a piece of cherry.
Bake at 350º for 20 minutes or until light brown.
Store in tight container. Taste better as age
