1½ C flour
¼ t baking soda
¼ t salt
½ C butter or margarine
½ C brown sugar, packed
1 whole egg
1 egg yolk
¼ t vanilla
⅛ t maple flavoring
pecans or walnuts
1 egg white
1 can chocolate frosting

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, soda, and salt.
Cream butter - add brown sugar.
Add whole egg and egg yolk.
Beat well.
Blend in vanilla and maple flavoring.
Add dry ingredients and mix.
Chill dough.
Arrange nuts on greased cookie sheet.
Make balls from dough and dip into unbeaten egg white, and press on to nuts.
Bake at 350º for 10 - 12 minutes.
DO NOT OVERBAKE!
Cool and frost with chocolate frosting.
