1 cup sugar, plus extra for topping
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup oil
1 tsp almond extract
2 eggs
3 1/2 cup flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp each; baking soda, salt, cream if tartar
2 cups almond slivers
6 ounce package brickle chips

Directions:
Directions:
Blend sugars, oil, butter and mix well. Add extract and eggs, mix well. Add dry ingredients. By hand add nuts and brickle. Place on ungreased cookie sheet by tablespoonfuls. Flatten with fork dipped in sugar. Bake 350º oven for 12-18 minutes or until golden brown on the edges.
