2 cups self-rising flour
1 T vanilla

Directions:
Cream the Crisco and sugar together. Add the 2 eggs, one at a time, and blend each into the Crisco and sugar mixture. Add vanilla. Gradually add the flour, mixing well. After beating, drop bits on a cookie sheet, keeping them far apart. Bake at 250º until firm. Do not brown.NOTE: This recipe was given to me by one of our dearly loved cousins, Julia Belle Patterson Thompson. I remember eating these at one of our Patterson reunions and thinking how delicious they were. I later asked her for the recipe and she graciously shared it with me. Julia Belle was always such fun to be around! I miss her!
