2 ½ cups Shortening
6 ½ cups Flour
1⅓ cups Sugar
2 cups Brown Sugar
2 tsp. Baking Powder
½ tsp. Baking Soda
2 tsp. Salt
3 tsp. Vanilla
4 Eggs
2 cups chopped Walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream shortening, sugars, and eggs.

2. Add vanilla. Beat well.

3. Add flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix well.

4. Mix in walnuts.

5. Dump onto wax paper and shape into rolls, 1½" to 2" diameter.

6. Wrap rolls separately in wax paper and chill (or freeze).

7. Slice thin and bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 6-8 minutes.

This recipe was passed down from Grandma Sharon (Grandma's Mom). Grandma Sharon passed away when I was 2 years old. From what I hear, I'm a lot like her...we both love cooking, dancing, and putting puzzles together! And my little freckles come from her too!!!
