Ingredients:  
2 cups sugar
1 cup crisco
3 eggs
1 cup sour or buttermilk
1 tsp.vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
5 to 6 cups flour
Mix and make a soft dough
Roll out and cut into circles
Put filling on 1 and cut a small circle with a thimble in one and place on top
Bake 350 on a lightly greased cookie sheet until slightly browned
I fill with apricot filling or ant kind if Jam
