¼ cup olive oil
1 onion chopped
3 cloves garlic
4 pounds fresh tomatoes, peeled and chopped
1 spear of celery
1 table spoon white sugar
3 tbsp. fresh basil or 1 tbsp. dried basil
1 tsp. salt
1 can small tomato past
1 sprig oregano
2 tbsp. red wine

Directions:
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic ; cook and stir until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, sugar, basil, parsley, and salt. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasional, until sauce thickens, about 1 to 2 hours. Add the red wine about one half hour before the sauce is done.
